Meet Tony

Tony Strickland knows what it means to fight Sacramento’s liberal overreach. As Mayor of Huntington Beach, Tony:

  • Fought to fully fund law enforcement to keep Surf City safe
  • Fought to clean up a homelessness crisis that was growing out of control
  • Fought for voter integrity, authoring California’s first local Voter ID initiative

Even President Donald Trump has taken notice of Tony Strickland’s leadership:

“Tony is showing how we can fight for voter integrity and cleaning up the homelessness and all the other things you have to do to make a place work,” President Trump said. “Tony, you’ve done a fantastic job as Mayor.”

For Tony Strickland, fighting for California is nothing new.

  • He fought to recall Gavin Newsom, as a Sr. Advisor to Larry Elder
  • He fought to expose former Governor Gray Davis’ illegal energy contracts
  • He fought for California taxpayers and business owners, as a former legislator with a lifetime A-Rating from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association

Tony Strickland was elected to the Huntington Beach City Council in 2022 and was chosen by his colleagues to serve as Mayor in 2023. A former State Assemblymember and State Senator, Tony Strickland is married to Carla, a 30-year resident of Huntington Beach. He has two children, “Tiny” Tony and Ruby, and two step-children, Graeme and Jameson.

LEADERSHIP CALIFORNIA NEEDS

Strickland for State Senate

Tony Strickland is running to return to the State Senate because Sacramento needs leaders unafraid to stand up to Gavin Newsom and because California needs conservative leaders who know how to fight to get things done.

While crime is out of control across California because of Sacramento policies, Tony Strickland fought to protect Huntington Beach.

While Gavin Newsom’s homelessness policies have resulted in PoopMaps and exploding encampments, homelessness is down dramatically in Huntington Beach.

While the Supermajority Democrats in Sacramento debate giving free healthcare to illegal immigrants in the face of a $73 Billion budget deficit, Tony Strickland balanced a $7 million budget deficit without raising taxes.

Sacramento needs more of Surf City’s common sense.

The 36th State Senate District includes all of Orange County’s beach cities, in addition to the Cities of Fountain Valley, Westminster, Garden Grove, Stanton, Cypress, La Palma, Buena Park, and portions of Los Angeles County. Democrats are likely to make this race a Top Target, and throw whatever it takes to try to flip this seat BLUE.

Tony needs your help. If you want to send a message to Gavin Newsom. If you want to send a fighter to Sacramento. If you support the things Tony Strickland has been fighting for, please join the campaign today.
